Omnidirectional GSM/UMTS antenna
Omnidirectional antenna designed with open end for signal reception in GSM/UMTS technologies. The antenna operates in bands 900/1800/2100 MHz. It is suitable for connection with modems/routers. With a suitable location on the grounding metal surface, the antenna reaches a gain up to 9 dBi. The antenna is supplied with a 2 m RG58 cable terminated with an SMA (m) connector.
Cable specifications RG58:
The RG58 coaxial cable is compatible with connectors applicable to a 5 mm cable diameter. It is mainly used for the 0-1 GHz frequency range, it can also be used for higher frequencies, but at the cost of higher attenuation. The characteristic impedance of the cable is 50 Ω. The reduction factor is fixed at 0.66. The most common cables of this type have a temperature range of -20 to 75 °C. This cable is suitable for external WiFi / GPS / GSM antennas. It is also often used for creating cable adaptors with connectors such as BNC / FAKRA / FME / N / SMA / TNC and others. There are also specially modified types of RG58 cables for outdoor use, which are UV resistant, as well as for use in extreme conditions. There are made of different materials, different qualities.
Connector specifications SMA:
These are high-frequency connectors with screw connection mechanism. The characteristic impedance of the connector is 50 Ohm and the operating frequency range up to 18 GHz. There are two types of SMA connectors, namely SMA and RP-SMA. Most of the current cellular routers are equipped with SMA connectors for connecting Wi-Fi / 2G / 3G / LTE / GPS antennas terminated by proticates. It is also used as a standard connector in RF measuring technology. They are characterized by high reliability, durability, high mechanical stability and optimal electrical properties.
