Omnidirectional GSM / UMTS antenna
Omnidirectional antenna for GSM and UMTS technologies and antenna operates in frequency bands 900/1800/1900/2100 MHz. The antenna is suited for modems/routers. The magnetic base allows the antenna to be mounted on the car roof or other metal surfaces. The antenna is supplied with a 3 m long RG174 / U cable, which is terminated with connector MMCX.
Connector specifications MMCX: These are coaxial connectors with a latch mechanism, which are compatible with MCX connectors but have a smaller size. The characteristic impedance of the connector is 50 Ohm and the working frequency range up to 6 GHz. Operating temperature range -65 °C to + 165 °C. They are characterized by high reliability and mechanical stability. They are also used as standard connectors in GPS devices, WLAN networks, fixed and mobile communications. Cable specifications RG174 / U: The cable labeled RG174 / U is a much cheaper variant of a coaxial cable that is compatible with connectors applicable to a cable diameter of 2.8 mm. It is mainly used for the frequency range 0 - 1 GHz, it can also be used for higher frequencies, but at the cost of higher attenuation – see the attached attenuation table below. The characteristic impedance of the cable is 50 Ω. The reduction factor is fixed at 0.66. The operating temperature range is -20 to 80 °C. Technical parameters can be found in the attached datasheet.
It is most often used for creating cable adaptors with connectors such as BNC / FAKRA / FME / MCX / MMCX / N / SMA / SMB / SMP / TNC and others. It is ideal for short and bending stressed connections in measuring and telecommunications technology, for GPS / GSM / WLAN antennas, antenna leads etc.
