LTE (4G) antennas

(83)

Long-Term Evolution (LTE) is a standard for wireless broadband communication for mobile devices and data terminals, based on the GSM/EDGE and UMTS/HSPA technologies. It increases the capacity and speed using a different radio interface together with core network improvements.

The directionality of the 4G antenna is presented by a directional (radiation) diagram. The radiation diagram is really three-dimensional, but in practice it is represented in most cases by a 2D spatial section in the vertical or horizontal plane. From this diagram, a very important parameter called the 4G antenna radiation angle is determined. It is the angle of the radiation maximum, which is defined by two values, which correspond to a decrease of the maximum field strength by 3 dB.

A 4G antenna is a device designed to receive and transmit signals for mobile networks operating on the 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution) standard.

The LTE antenna increases the quality of the Internet connection and improves the speed of data transfers, which is crucial for applications that require a stable and fast Internet connection.

LTE antenna omnidirectional antenna radiates signals in all directions, providing a 360-degree coverage area. This type of antenna is commonly used in scenarios where multiple devices need to connect to the LTE network from various directions, such as in public spaces or small offices.

Another type is the directional LTE antenna, which focuses its signal in a specific direction, offering a more concentrated and extended coverage range. This type is often used in outdoor settings to establish point-to-point or point-to-multipoint connections over longer distances, ensuring reliable connectivity in remote or rural areas.

LTE is commonly known as a 4G network, although it does not meet the parameters of 4G. Technologically, it still falls into the older network. 4G networks are marked LTE Advanced. For practical use, however, we can choose from the category of LTE Antennas or 4G Antennas.

In the Czech Republic, bands 1, 3, 7, 8 and 20 are allocated for LTE networks and LTE antennas from our portfolio are tuned to receive and transmit signals on the frequencies of these bands, namely 2100, 1800, 2600, 900 and 800 MHz.

LTE antennas are designed to receive LTE signals. LTE antennas are suitable for modems and routers. LTE antennas have multiple types of connectors and the customer can choose the type and length of the cable. LTE 4G  Antenna attachment can be magnetic, mounting, adhesive or soldered.
