Case study: Automated warehouse with Robustel EG5120 5G router featuring Edge Computing.
As part of the modernization project of a logistics center in the Czech Republic, the industrial 5G gateway Robustel EG5120 was deployed as the main communication element of the entire infrastructure. The goal was to ensure stable connectivity for hundreds of IoT devices, autonomous vehicles (AGVs), and sensor units without delays that would hinder operations.
The EG5120 gateway was chosen for its support of 5G technology, robust design, and advanced features such as Edge Computing, which enables on-site data processing without sending it to the cloud. This made it possible to immediately evaluate sensor data, analyze energy consumption in real-time, and optimize the movement of robotic units within the warehouse.
