Advantech industrial router ICR-3231
The Advantech ICR-3231 cellular industrial router is designed for wireless communication over mobile networks using LTE, HSPA+, UMTS, EDGE, and GPRS technologies. A key advantage of this router is its high data transfer speed of up to 150 Mbps (download) and 50 Mbps (upload), making it suitable for wireless connectivity of traffic and security cameras, LAN networks, individual computers, ATMs, and other self-service terminals.

- Data speed: With LTE Cat.4 technology (up to 150 Mbps download / 50 Mbps upload), the router provides sufficient bandwidth even for data-intensive applications.
- SIM redundancy: The device is equipped with two SIM card readers for automatic backup in case of operator failure. An embedded eSIM is also available as an option.
- Interfaces: In addition to two independent Ethernet ports and RS232 / RS485 serial lines, the gateway features digital I/O, backup real-time clock (RTC), and support for low-power sleep mode.

The router is powered by a high-performance Cortex A8 processor (1 GHz), 512 MB RAM, and 4 GB eMMC flash memory in durable pSLC mode, ensuring long service life in critical applications. A dedicated 1.3 GB storage space is reserved for user applications and data.
Open development platform
The ICR-3231 router series uses the Linux-based ICR-OS operating system, providing a highly flexible environment for industrial IoT. Developers have access to a wide range of programming tools, including Python, C/C++, the Node-RED visual editor, and Docker container technology. The platform is further enhanced by an extensive library of Advantech Router Apps, simplifying industrial protocol conversion and ensuring seamless integration with cloud services such as Microsoft Azure and Cumulocity.
Security and management
Maximum security and operational stability are ensured through support for a wide range of VPN protocols for encrypted communication, together with advanced diagnostics including automatic connectivity monitoring and a hardware watchdog. For efficient management, the router is fully integrated with the WebAccess/DMP cloud tool for mass deployment and monitoring.
Rugged design
The router is housed in a durable metal chassis with IP30 protection, which guarantees reliable operation in extreme temperatures from -40 °C to +75 °C. Thanks to its compact dimensions and integrated mounting brackets, it can be easily installed on a DIN rail or directly on the wall.
