Gemalto announced the production of a new module Cinterion connect shield. This is the open-source Arduino platform.
After inserting the SIM card, communication via 2G/3G/4G networks is enabled according to the settings. At the same time, this platform will be ready for the new NB-IoT technology.
There is an integrated temperature sensor and an ambient light sensor on the board, as well as a fully programmable button. Communication can be done via USB, I2C protocol or serial line.
The module is suitable for both beginners and advanced programmers of M2M devices.
