AC charging stations are a key infrastructure for charging electric vehicles in companies and public places. These stations use alternating current (AC) and are designed to enable convenient, safe and efficient charging of electric vehicles.
Olife Energy AC charging station SMART
Olife Energy AC charging station SMART made in the Czech Republic. This charging station for electric vehicles charges with alternating current. It includes two cables with plugs. A big plus of the station is that it can charge two electric vehicles at the same time, each with a power of up to 22 kW.
Power and charging time
The battery charging time is 1 - 3 hours and offers a maximum power of 22 kW. The charging speed is determined not only by the battery capacity, but mainly by the charging power of the on-board charger in the vehicle. Manufacturers most often equip them with chargers with a power of 11 kW, but there are also lower 7 kW or, conversely, 22 kW.
Methods of starting and controlling charging
Charging can start automatically after inserting the connector into the vehicle, or after identification with an RFID card (RFID chip). The charging process can also be controlled remotely via the OlifeEnergy Cloud service, or using the OCPP protocol. The station is in a robust metal design.
Uses and smart functions of the SMART station
The SMART charging station variant is suitable for operation in company parking lots, shopping centers and places with high penetration of electric vehicles. The electric vehicle charging station is equipped with a power limitation function to prevent overloading of the electrical distribution system. To shorten the charging time, the station can divide the power between two charging vehicles according to their needs.
Charging control
The total power consumption of the station can be dynamically regulated using the external module OlifeEnergy SmartMeter SMART, which can control the performance of multiple Smart units simultaneously. It ensures optimal use of the capacity of the electrical connection by measuring the current consumption of the station or its sub-circuit and evaluating the available power input for the OlifeEnergy charging station. The station then regulates the charging current according to the available power input.

EXTENSION MODULES OLIFEENERGY CLOUD:
Hardware modules which extend functionality of the OlifeEnergy AC charging station. A Platform for remote monitoring, management and client charging. The Platform offers multiple services which can be combined.
Remote monitoring
Basic service for remote communication with the charging station. The user is informed about status and energy consumption including history data. With the Remote monitoring service, the charging station is presented in OlifeEnergy Net charging network for free.
Access control
This service allows management of RfIDuser chips and smartphone application user management. A List of all individual charging sessions (user, time and consumed energy) data is available for the charging station owner with this service.
Payment system
This service allows the OlifeEnergy AC charging station owner to define the fee for station operation. The Charging station is advertised in OlifeEnergy Net charging network.
Power control
A Load-Balancing service for advanced control of the charging station. If there is not enough power to charge the E.V., or E.V. fleet, consumption of the charging station(s)can be controlled based on specific maximum withdraw limit(weak grid) or dynamically (based on maximum consumption of the building in a certain time frame).
OlifeEnergy charging station is offered in BASE and SMART variants. The comparison of both variants is in the table below.
