The Protempis Thunderbolt PTP GM200 Grandmaster Clock is a synchronization device that is equipped with the function of continuous UTC time tracking, which is crucial for the correct phase synchronization that is essential for modern networks. The GM200 Grandmaster Clock is particularly suitable for networks supporting LTE-Advanced and other protocols such as NTP, PTP, SyncE and SNMP.

These protocols have practical use in various situations, for example when defining an accurate time interval during communication on a production line. This enables the synchronization of individual work steps and affects the overall efficiency and smoothness of the process. One of another advantages of these protocols is the time synchronization in LAN networks thanks to SyncE (Synchronous Ethernet) and the possibility of monitoring and management using the SNMP. They also allow easy configuration of settings.

The GM200 was specially designed for the telecommunications area with an emphasis on the need for phase synchronization in LTE networks. It is also suitable for deployment in the autonomous industry, production lines and computer networks.

The Thunderbolt PTP GM200 uses the state-of-the-art GNSS technology with holdover support, which ensures high time accuracy and reliability even in challenging conditions. The GM200 achieves a very low error rate in time, averaging only 1.5 microseconds in 4 hours. Thanks to an extended operating temperature range from -40 to +85°C, the Grandmaster Clock GM200 is weatherproof and can be used both indoors and outdoors.
