Teltonika WiFi Access Point TAP100, PoE
The WiFi Access Point TAP100 is Teltonika Networks' first Access Point (AP), ideal for enhancing coverage and sharing of WiFi signal in homes, offices, restaurants, small manufacturing halls, public spaces and other places. A WiFi Access Point is a device that enables wireless data transfer between different devices and the Internet.
WiFi Access Point allows devices such as smartphones, laptops, computers, tablets or televisions to connect to the internet without the need of cables. The advantage of the WiFi Access Point TAP100 is the ease of installation and configuration.
The TAP100 Access Point is housed in an elegant plastic casing that is stabilized against UV radiation, so the device will retain its color even in continuous direct sunlight. An integrated mounting bracket allows an easy installation on the ceiling.
The Teltonika TAP100 Access Point is equipped with 2 internal omnidirectional antennas for 2.4GHz WiFi frequency and with a RJ45 connector for Ethernet connection.
Thanks to the PoE-in function, the Teltonika TAP100 can be powered directly from a connected device that provides it with data connection via Ethernet. This is for devices that support active PoE, such as the Teltonika TSW100 PoE+ industrial switch, or any network device with a PoE injector. In the case that the router does not support PoE, a PoE injector is put between the router and the Access Point. At the same time the PoE injector works as a power source. This eliminates the need for additional power supplies and cables, and also reduces the complexity of the setting.
The PoE Injector is included in the GM-TAP100-POE packaging.
With the purchase of the Teltonika TAP100 Access Point, you will get for 24 months free access to the Teltonika Remote Management System (RMS), which allows remote management and monitoring of all Teltonika network devices. The system allows you to change the configuration and collect status information on individual devices, even if the devices do not have public IP addresses.
