Teltonika RUT986 industrial LTE router
The Teltonika RUT986 LTE router connects industrial equipment via the mobile network, Ethernet and serial interfaces. Global LTE connectivity is provided by a Telit Cat 4 modem. The router is ideal for remote monitoring in industry, energy and smart infrastructure.
Connection backup with Dual SIM and eSIM
Two SIM card slots and eSIM support allow you to use different mobile operators. Automatic switching can be configured, for example, in the event of a weak signal, a data connection failure or reaching a data limit.
The failover function automatically switches to a configured backup connection via the mobile network, wired WAN or Wi-Fi WAN if the primary connection fails.
Interfaces and protocols for industrial applications
Four Ethernet ports and RS232 and RS485 interfaces connect network and serial devices. Inputs and outputs (I/O) are also available for monitoring operating states and controlling connected devices. Support for the Modbus, DNP3 and OPC UA industrial protocols allows the router to be integrated into industrial systems for collecting and transmitting operational data.
Wi-Fi and GNSS positioning
Wi-Fi provides wireless device connectivity. The integrated GNSS receiver determines location and supports GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and QZSS.
RMS remote management
The RUT986 industrial LTE router runs the RutOS operating system. This Linux OpenWRT-based operating system is a major advantage when choosing Teltonika routers. It offers advanced security features and compatibility with the remote management system RMS.
